and hunting rabbits, several
men – dirt collectors, using old fashioned
      wagons –

picked up discounted rifles from
a shop  grabbing customers with

promises
of discounts, discounts, and
extra knicks that are good for stuffing
pockets.

They, after trekking, arrived at a bush but with
no holes or indicators of living b’neat it
But a

rifle
carrier deemed it a probable bush, as at

the winter past rabbit tracks had led through
the snow to it, and so they bunkered down.
