I love the thought you express here. It’s really a very serious thing, pondering how to die, and the simple, sort of crude voice you use makes it wonderfully honest and matter-of-fact. I think the last word, “really,” could go. It sounds too sing-song with “mainly” and it takes the emphasis off of the more powerful word, “beasts.”
